There were long rumors that LAX would be the next airport receiving a Centurion Lounge. Amex decided different and is now adding the second lounge in the New York area. They opened their first Centurion Lounge at New York La Guardia Airport (LGA).
The new Centurion Lounge is set to open early 2019 inside Terminal 4. Terminal 4 is home to 34 domestic and international airlines like Delta Airlines and many top international carriers like Asiana, Emirates, Etihad. Terminal 4 is one of the busiest terminals in the New York area and
The lounge will be located post-security on the 4th floor and will stretch over two levels and offer over 15,000 sqft of space. Besides that it will be the biggest Centurion Lounge so far, it will offer special new features to be announced closer to the lounge’s opening. These are in addition to the already great perks every one of their lounges offers, such as a complimentary custom bar and food menu, premium restrooms and shower suites, access to high-speed Wi-Fi, noise-buffering workspaces. Besides that, the lounge will offer stunning views of the airport.
I am really looking forward to this amazing new lounge and recently passed through JFK for the first time ever and visited American Airlines Flagship Lounge in Terminal 8.
