Seattle is an amazing city and I just love to spend time in and around the city. On a Sunday spend some time along the waterfront and enjoy the view of the Olympic Mountain Range or see Mount Rainier rising above the city in the background and you know why.

Here my favorite places for great views of Seattle:

Columbia Center Tower

The Columbia Center Tower is the tallest building in Seattle and also the tallest one in the State of Washington right now. The tower also has the highest public observation deck on the West Coast on the 73rd floor.

The admission is 12.50 USD for an adult and you have in and out privileges. Visit their website to make sure the observation deck is open for your visit and not booked for a private event.

A little extra tip of mine: If you visit during the winter month you can enjoy amazing views of the city by day and night. If you get lucky, you will have great weather which gives you breathtaking views of the city and surrounding areas. I wrote about the Columbia Center Tower end of last year. Check out my post with more detailed information and more pictures.

Kerry Park

Amazing views from here of Downtown Seattle by day and night. This place is always very crowded, especially on nice and sunny days. Many people and tourists come here to enjoy the views of the city and take pictures. One of my pictures here also got featured on an Instagram. Parking is for free on most spots along the street.

Hamilton Viewpoint Park

Do you want to get the whole skyline of Seattle in one picture? No Problem! There is a place for that too and it’s called Hamilton Viewpoint Park. You also can take pictures along the shoreline but this park is elevated and not too many people know about it. There is parking right at the park and you will get a good view of the city.

Doctor Jose P Rizal Bridge

This bridge is near the intersection of Interstates I-5 and I-90. From here you get great views of Downtown Seattle and both stadiums. It’s perfect for night shots because you will get some amazing light streams running through the city. Parking is available on the street just south of the bridge and next to the Pacific Medical Center.

There are so many other great places to take pictures of part or the whole city. Another great location would be the waterfront. One of my pictures of the Seattle Downtown area ended up being used for the Schmap Online Travel Guide.

If you know a good location with great views of the city, please post them in the comments.
