One of my favorite hotel brands just sent out an email about upcoming changes to the World of Hyatt (WoH) rewards program. Members of the World of Hyatt rewards program will be able to earn and redeem points at participating Small Luxury Hotels of the World™ (SLH). Nights at SLH will also count towards your tier status.

SLH features over 500 independently minded hotels in over 80 countries, including destinations in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. These luxury hotels add even more value to your World of Hyatt points, as you can redeem them in even more places now.

To see a portfolio of SLH hotels, visit slh.com. Which hotels are participating is unclear of yet. Also, we are lacking more details if your tier status with Hyatt has any impact on a stay at an SLH.

Small Luxury Hotels of the World over a solid loyalty program as well and is called “INVITED”. Just for signing up to the program, without any stay you get the following benefits:

  • MEMBER EXCLUSIVE RATE
  • EARLY CHECK-IN (12 PM, BASED ON AVAILABILITY)
  • LATE CHECK-OUT (3 PM, BASED ON AVAILABILITY)
  • COMPLIMENTARY CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST FOR TWO

Noticeable is here the complimentary continental breakfast for two. I imagine this is not cheap at an SLH property, as it is already very expensive in not so luxurious hotels with other brands.

Hopefully, the World of Hyatt tier will be matched somehow to the INVITED loyalty program.

Reservations have to be my made through a Hyatt channel like the website or app.

The launch of the partnership is expected to be around the end of this year. More details will emerge over the coming weeks and we will keep you posted. I am excited about this new partnership and let’s see how we can put the WoH points to good use.
