Most airlines don’t allow you to stream videos on their Wi-Fi equipped flights, except of the use of their own system like Alaska Airlines Beyond Entertainment.

Now JetBlue and Amazon are partnering up to bring you free inflight streaming, if you are an Amazon Prime customer. You will be able now to stream original Amazon shows like “Transparent”, its other TV shows and movies and buy or rent movies from the Amazon Instant Video store. Downloading apps and games from the Amazon App store, streaming music from Amazon Prime and downloading eBooks from Amazons Store will also be possible free of charge.

Prime members will be able to use their laptops, iPhones and iPads, Fire devices and Kindles as well as Android phones and tablets without downloading anything beforehand.

JetBlue’s Fly-Fi internet service is already available on all its A321 planes. The A320 fleet is to 80% equipped with Fly-Fi and completion of the fleet should be by end of the year. In 2016 you will also be able to use this service on JetBlue’s Embraer E190 fleet.

Amazon’s Prime Service costs $99 Dollar annually. If you consider signing up for this service, please use my affiliate link here to support this blog. Amazon Prime gives you also free 2-day delivery, unlimited online photo storage, and many more features.
