This is my first time at the Anchorage Airport. After a beautiful drive from Clear, AK to Anchorage I had enough time left to visit the Alaska Lounge in the South Terminal. Once you make it past security, stay to your right towards C-Gates.

The Alaska Lounge will be on your left just before Gate C1. You can take the stairs or the elevator up to the lounge on Level 3. Check-In was easy. I handed over my boarding pass, the agent scanned it and I was welcomed in.

The Alaska Lounge is located just past security near Gate C1 in the South Terminal. Easy to find.

Alaska Lounge Entrance

The Alaska Lounge was pretty empty for a late Sunday evening. On the contrary, perfect for me, so I could pick where I wanted to seat. On your way to the check-in counter, you will pass a conference room on your left, which can be booked if you need one. Once you are checked in, you will find plenty of seating to your left. There is a TV corner all the way at the end of the left side of the lounge. The lounge is shaped as a long nature rectangle.

To the right, you find everything else. You will find the bar and snack buffet here, the restrooms and a business center. I settled down in the business center at one of the many desks which are separated by tempered glass. There is a printer/copier combo in the corner of the business center.

Alaska Lounge Dining and Bar Area

There is no real bar counter here. Just a small corner counter next to the snack area where you can order your drinks. There is a pretty good selection of complimentary drinks, like beer and wine. Premium Drinks, like spirits, can be purchased at the bar. However, I missed the cheese and celery they usually serve in an Alaska Lounge.

Near the snack-buffet is a wall in the middle of the lounge, which kinda separates the lounge. On top of it are monitors with flight information and below is a neat fireplace.

Along the long side of the lounge are big windows offering a good view of what’s going on at the airport. As it is a very small airport you can almost see all the action on the tarmac.

Power outlets are mostly at the seats along the windows and wall.

Conclusion

It’s a pretty good sized lounge for an airport this size. Service and staff were great. As mentioned I missed some of the usual snacks I already had my mind set to enjoy before arrival. The business center is really great and gives you an opportunity to get some work done.
