The Centurion Lounge at DFW moved to a new location. Find the new review of the lounge here.

I had to transit in DFW and used the time to check out the Centurion Lounge at this airport during my nearly 2-hour overlay. After the visit to this lounge, there is only one Centurion Lounge left in the US which I haven’t visited yet.

The lounge was not located in the terminal I will arrive or depart. I used the Skylink train to get to the D gates and from there it was just a short walk, located next to D17 on the mezzanine level, If you take the Skylink train here, it doesn’t matter which side of the platform you exit. because the lounge is right on the other side of where the train stopped just a level down. Thanks to the Skylink the lounge can be reached within a couple of minutes from everywhere in the airport.

The Centurion Lounge is open seven days a week from 5:30 am – 10 pm and can be accessed by all American Express Platinum and Centurion cardholders.

When I arrived at the lounge, there were only two people in front of me and I was checked-in quickly. The front desk staff was super friendly during the check-in. This gave me a welcome feeling and made my visit more enjoyable.

I like the location of the lounge on the mezzanine level, this gives you a great view of the surrounding terminal area, but unfortunately no tarmac views. The architecture of the lounge is great. It’s not just a big room, the lounge consists of different rooms connected with hallways. It also makes it a little harder to navigate for a first time visitor. A quick walk around the lounge solves that.

As you expect it from other Centurion Lounges, they have a great bar and delicious food, real food, and not just snacks.

Food Bar

Being such a big airport, the lounge is probably crowded a lot. During my visit on a Tuesday afternoon, I had to look a while for seating possibilities. I sat in a remote corner of the lounge, which surprisingly didn’t affect the service. The waiter was coming around quite a lot and the first time he spotted, he was also asking if I want anything to drink.

I went over to the food buffet and grabbed something to eat. Delicious food created by Chef Dean Fearing.

Like Miami’s Centurion Lounge, this lounge also offers an exhale spa. The massages are amazing. I had one before I got on my flight from MIA to DFW. If you have enough time, make sure you get a massage. You should get an appointment right when you check-in to the lounge.

This lounge features also a kids play area as most other Centurion Lounges do, and a little meeting room. Of course, there are showers as well.
