It’s “Corona Time” at least from 6:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. daily inside the Miami International Airport. The Corona Beach House is not an actual lounge itself but a while back, Priority Pass started adding restaurants to their huge circle of lounges. This has two advantages, sometimes the Priority Pass lounges are just overcrowded and you can visit a restaurant for some food and drinks as an alternative and if you are short on time, you don’t have to walk to a lounge far away and have a wider variety of choices.

Priority Pass is the world’s biggest lounge network and has now over 1000 lounges worldwide. One of the newest additions is the Corona Beach House at the Miami International Airport.

The Corona Beach House offers foods and drinks and as a Priority Pass holder, you get $30 off your final bill. The big advantage here is that the $30 also count for a guest you bring into the lounge. Make sure what you get charged by Priority Pass for bringing a guest into the lounge. This basically means that you and your guest get a total of $60 off your final bill.

Be aware that an 18% gratuity is automatically added to the bill. If your total amount is less than $30 you won’t get any cash refund or substitute. Only 1 card per visit per Cardholder will be accepted and at the point of registration.

The restaurant is located right behind the security checkpoint in the North Terminal Concourse D. This is very convenient for American Airlines passengers because that’s most likely the security checkpoint they will use to get to the terminal. The actual location is between the gates D23 and D24 on the tarmac side of the building. You really can’t miss it.

What do you get for $30?

Final Bill

My order

  • Corona Extra Bottle
  • Southwest Burger
  • Loaded Fries Substitute ($4), regular fries would be $2 and the burger itself comes with chips.

My order including tax and gratuity was $31.12. I had to pay $1.12 out of pocket for that meal. To stay within the $30 I could have chosen a different burger, like a regular cheeseburger or go with normal fries instead of loaded fries (or no fries and get the chips instead).

My dining experience started off rather unpleasant. I got seated right away and I checked out the menu. But no waiter came to take my order. I was sitting in front of the bar and some of the waiters were standing right in front of my table chit chatting and then disappearing again. It took quite a while until finally, someone came over. It seemed to work better for other guests. Hopefully, this was just a one-time coincidence.

In case you received your Priority Pass from American Express you can also use the Centurion Lounge in the same Concourse just a few gates down. Besides the Corona Beach House, you can also visit the Avianca VIP Lounge or the LATAM VIP Lounge. Both of them are located in Concourse J and quite a walk away from Concourse D.

Overall this is a great new benefit of the Priority Pass and makes it really worth. Especially if you travel a lot, it makes sense to get a Priority Pass Membership or get a complimentary Priority Pass Select membership with a credit card.
