A nice and fun tour which can be done within a day. The Central Oregon Coast is home to Yachats, Gem of the Oregon Coast. Most caches are close to a parking location and you don’t need to get on long hikes. You will drive quite a bit on forest roads and some dirt roads. The tour gives you some unique viewpoints around Yachats.
Find more information at the Go Yachats website or at the cache listing for the GeoCoin pick-up location. There you can download your Tour Passport. I created a list of this caches. See button below.
Logging:
Every cache has a little codeword inside. Write this codeword into your Tour Passport. When you found at least 20 of the 26 caches, bring it to the Yachats Commons Building (GC4FTEN). This location is open from Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and closed on holidays.
If you are visiting on a weekend and have completed your passport, contact YahotsWalker through Geocaching.com at GemOfTheOregonCoast, Arrangements will be made to validate your passport and send you a Yachats Geocoin.
