Get ready and pack your gear. This weekend will be the last free entrance day to National Parks across the United States for this year. The entrance fee for any National Park will be waived this coming Sunday, November 11, 2018, better known as Veterans Day. Only the entrance fee is waived, amenity or user fees for activities such as camping, boat launches, transportation, or special tours are still being charged on Veterans Day.
This is a great opportunity to visit a new park on your list or check out your favorite around the corner. No matter where you go, National Parks are a great place to be and you can’t go wrong with your choice.
Over 400 parks are part of the National Park System throughout the country. I am sure you are able to find one you could spend some time to visit.
This year also marks the 100th anniversary of the end of hostilities of World War I, which took effect on the “eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month” of 1918, also known as Armistice Day.
