Geocaching is a fun activity. The biggest advantage for me is when I am traveling it brings me to spots I wouldn’t go otherwise. The cache container there is mostly a Tupperware box, a film canister or something similar.
I recently found a really great Travelbug Hotel. This is usually a bigger box and lets you drop-off your Travelbugs (TB) or pick up others to help them complete their mission.
This TB-Hotel is located about 25 minutes east of Portland, OR. The place is called McMenamins Edgefield. This is a great place to hang out and enjoy a beautiful day. It is a hotel, spa, restaurant, bar, wine tasting and much more. Come here and relax and enjoy your time in the gardens.
The cache is located behind a small barn and away from muggle traffic. You don’t have to worry too much about being seen from other people.
This is my Geocache of the Month because the location is just amazing and the TB-Hotel is designed with so much love for detail.
From the outside, it looks like a normal electrical distribution box. Once you open it up you will see a nicely designed TB-Hotel with 3 rooms. Check out the details at the lower half of the box.
