As an aviation geek it’s nice to collect memories of where you have been. Travelers in the United States and Canada have the chance to collect Airport Trading Cards. The series is called North American Airports Collectors Series (NAACS) and is a program for ACI-NA member airports. Unfortunately not every airport in the U.S. & Canada is a member of the ACI-NA and not every member is printing these trading cards.
The trading card program started in 2014 but really took off in 2018 when more member airports printed these cards. The ACI-NA released the 2019 series this year, which had fewer cards than 2018. But remember, just because there is a new series, doesn’t mean the old once are not available anymore. Also, airports who didn’t release a new card this year, are still distributing their old once.
During my hunt for these cards, I found that the biggest problem is the actual staff at the airport. Barely any of them know about this program. Some of them even have a flyer hanging at the Information booth but the person working the booth never heard of the trading cards. The information booth is the usual place where you get the trading cards. Most of the information booths are before security and if you are connecting, you have to make sure you have enough time between flights to clear security.

Unfortunately, only airports in the U.S. and Canada can participate. It would be great if this would become a standard all over the world.
