If you are a Tourist or a Panamanian living abroad and you enter Panama through Tocumen International Airport, you will get 30 days of Medical Emergency Insurance for free. If you don’t get the brochure automatically with your immigration process just ask for it at the airport. This brochure has all the necessary information inside and a little card to put in your wallet for emergencies.
To actually make use of your insurance you only have to show your passport and the entry stamp in your passport. I always carry a copy of my passports ID page and a copy of the page with the entry stamp in my wallet. Normally every hotel would make you a copy for free.
