This holiday season United Elites are in for a special treat. If you are a Premier Silver, Premier Gold, Premier Platinum or a Premier 1K® frequent flier and traveling through EWR you can score a $30 dining credit to use at one of the many restaurants at EWR, as a thank you from United Airlines.
The offer is valid in Newark’s Terminal C, where United flies out of, and any restaurant with an iPad Ordering System from OTG Experience. These restaurants include the following OTG Restaurants:
- Abruzzo Italian Steakhouse
- Caps Beer Garden
- CBGB L.A.B.
- DAILY
- Flora Café
- Happy Clam
- Little Purse
- Melange Bakery Cafe
- Nonna’s Meatball Café
- Oeno Wine Bar
- Proof Whiskey Bar
- Riviera
- Saison
- SURF
- Tacquila
- Wanderlust Burger Bar
All you have to do is to scan your boarding pass at one of the many iPad systems. United Premier members will see a pop-up notification with the one-time discount which can be used for the entire order including food, drinks, tips, and taxes. If you travel with someone who is not a United Premier member you will only receive one discount for your order. Are both United Premier frequent travelers, both will receive the offer.
This is a great deal and a welcoming improvement from the finger food usually served in Airline lounges like the United Clubs. You can enjoy a real meal while waiting for your flight.
So hurry and use your dining credit before this offer expires on January 3, 2019. Originally the offer launched on December 19, 2018, but United seemed to have it only promoted as an Instagram Ad.
Remember
United is also operating a secret restaurant called Classified at Newark’s Terminal C. This is an invite-only restaurant and you can request an invite if you are a member of United’s MileagePlus program. You don’t need to have status to request an invite but I am sure it will increase your chances. You can sign up for the MileagePlus program for free. Classified also uses the iPad ordering system and the $30 credit would be valid there as well.
The quickest way to become United Premier Silver
In case you hold Marriott Platinum Premier status, you can match it to United Premier Silver status via the RewardsPlus website. This partnership also works the other way around. If you are United Premier Gold or higher, you can have your status matched to Marriott (if you don’t have one).
