Somehow I missed the announcement from Icelandair about a month and a half ago. Back then they announced that you can now book Icelandair flights solely through Facebook Messenger. You won’t have to go to any other website. Everything happens in Facebook Messenger.
The Messenger or Stopover Bot, as Icelandair calls this system, can help you not only for regular reservations, you can also book the famous Iceland Stopover or get answers to commonly asked questions. The content rich answers can include pictures and videos besides text. If the bot can’t help, you get forwarded to a customer service rep from Icelandair.
There are multiple ways to start a conversation with the Messenger Bot.
- Go to http://m.me/Icelandair
- Scan the code of the image bellow with Facebook Messenger on your Smartphone
- Go to Icelandair’s Facebook Page and click on Message
For more information visit the Messenger Bot Site.
