This Admirals Club at Reagan National Airport, was the first Admirals Club that got renovated and opened in late 2022 as American Airlines’ new “reimagined” club lounge. In August 2022, American announced its new iteration of Admiral Clubs under the “reimagined” style which is meant to give you a feel of “coming home” by using plenty open spaces and natural woods.
American Airlines operates three Admiral Clubs at DCA Terminal 2.
The clubs at Concourse C and D will be renovated and will reopen in the new “reimagined” style in the near future.
American Airlines also announced that it will offer an enhanced food and complimentary drink menu at all of it’s lounges.
Location
The lounge is located in the E-Concourse of the terminal building. The club is located at the furthest most point north of the terminal building. Once you are past security follow the signs towards E-Gates. Just before you get to the first E gate, the entrance to the lounge will be on your left side – right next to the Capitol Files News shop. The lounge is located on the mezzanine level of the terminal. You can use the stairs on your left or take the elevator upstairs.

“Reimagined” Admirals Club Concourse E Review
As you get off the elevator or up the stairs, you will pass by the check-in counter. The Admirals Club Concourse E is very spacious and the new reimagined club design really makes a difference. This lounge feels so much more welcome than the other two at DCA.
The area “behind” the check-in counter is the dining area. The buffet is set up here which offered hot food and other choices during my visit. The bar is right next to the buffet and offers a ton of complimentary drinks. It will get even better with the new enhancements AA announced a little while ago. The dining area has lots of dining tables available to sit down and enjoy your meal or just to set up your laptop and work.

The other part of the lounge is set up to unwind and relax. Lots of comfortable chairs with cocktail tables or chairs with a footrest to kick up your feet and relax. There is a big desk with six high chairs to set up your device and get some work done as well. Power outlets are available pretty much everywhere. The best part is the fireplace in the middle of that space. It is just a very cozy and warm feeling where you would like to hang out and relax.

The relax area of the lounge has a counter with coffee and tea as well as a refrigerator which allows you to buy to-go drinks for your trip. You can use your credit card to pay for bottled sodas, water and energy drinks.

The use of wood accents really made the lounge feel more inviting. Big floor to ceiling windows offer lots of light and great views of the concourse as well as the tarmac.
Conclusion
At the moment, the Admirals Club Concourse E is the best Admirals Club at this airport. If you have enough time, you should definetely get out of your way and use this lounge rather than the one close to your gate. It also seems this lounge is a lot less crowded than the other two but it is also the biggest one. The reimagined style of AA really hits my taste and feels so much more welcome. Until the other two lounges get renovated with the “reimagined style” I will always try to visit this lounge if I have enough time. Service was great throughout the whole visit which started with a friendly smile while checking in to the lounge.
