Guys, this past weekend I spent at the Travel and Adventure Show in Los Angeles. I was in L.A. for business and saw an ad for the show on a billboard on my way to the hotel. I had to check it out. This was my first time ever at this show. This show makes a stop in 8 major cities throughout the country. There are four shows left for this year.
- San Diego Mar 4-5, 2017
- Denver Mar 18-19, 2017
- Philadelphia Mar 25-16, 2017
- Dallas Apr 1-2, 2017
After that, it will start over again in 2018 with Washington D.C. Jan 20-21, 2018.
If you are into travel, this show is great. You can find everything here. From Tourism Boards/Chambers of Commerce from States and Cities, Airlines, Travel Agents, Tour Operators and much more.
They had a lot of great speakers the past 2 days. One of my favorite ones was Johnny Jet from johnnyjet.com. A guy, I follow for a while now with some great tips about travel. The best speeches happened on the Savvy Traveler Panel. Where speakers gave tips and insights how to pack, travel cheap but in style and much more. Just fantastic! Even tho I knew most of their tricks already, I still learn new once.
A lot of the exhibitors offer drastic discounts on products, travel packages, and gear. This can offset the admission fee, which is under $20.
There are even hands-on experiences. I couldn’t believe my eyes as I saw a sign for “free camel rides”. Of course, I had to give it a try. Nothing really special, it was just a small circle the camel walked with me sitting on it. But now I can truthfully say I rode a camel. Right next to it was a swimming pool and you could take a free scuba session. Lot’s of stuff to do and see here.
My tip! If you are in town for one of the shows somewhere, go there and explore. It is definitely worth your money and time. A small extra bonus: You meet great people along the way.
I got some cool stuff from the show and will give it away soon here on my blog. Make sure you follow me on social media or sign up for my newsletter to be one of the first to get to know.
