After visiting Columbus, OH I had a chance to check out the Escape Lounge at John Glenn Columbus International Airport before leaving the area again. It is a small airport and this is the only lounge at the airport as of writing this post. Okay their is an USO lounge, but access to this lounge is only granted to active-duty members of the armed forces.

Escape Lounge at John Glenn Columbus International Airport Review

The Escape Lounge at CMH is one of the smaller lounges, but it is also a small airport. During my visit, I was actually the only guest in the lounge. The design of the lounge is inspired by the Germany and Victorian villages of Columbus, featuring natural materials and earthy tones.

The amenities are nothing extraordinary but the lounge offers a peaceful place away from the bustling terminal. You can pick between many different seating options in the lounge ranging from cozy chairs to dining tables and high chairs at the bar and counter along the windows.

Even though the lounge is pretty small, the food and drink selection can compete with other lounges in the U.S.

Bar

I really like their hot food options rather than just offering simple snacks in the lounge.

Of course, a coffee machine can’t be missed in the lounge.

The windows offer a great view of the tarmac. The airport is not too busy so not always a lot of movement to see while sitting there and staring out the window.

Service was great, as I basically had the whole lounge team to my disposal as the only guest. 😉 Advantage of a lounge in a rather small airport.

Up to date information about the lounge can be found on the Escape Lounge Website.
