During my trip to Las Vegas I found some great things to do and get for free. You don’t always have to spend a ton of money in Vegas. Also check out my posts about things to do around Las Vegas and things do to off the strip.
1. Get a free photo with One Million Dollars
Go to the Binion’s Casino in Downtown Las Vegas at the Fremont Street Experience. Inside there is a stash with 1 million dollars in bills. You can stand behind it and they will take a free photo of you, which you can pick up about 30 minutes later at the Binion’s Club counter. Just ask the staff member who took the picture. They will print the picture on glossy paper and you get it in a nice folder to take it home. There is only one photo per person per day. But if you use your own camera, you can take as many pictures as you want.
Outside the Binion’s you will see a slot machine. You have one free spin and if you are lucky you can win up to 2,500 USD. There is also a free spin at “The D”. Some other casinos might have some too, but I haven’t checked really for it. If you find some, please leave me a note in the comments and I will add them here.
3. Get a free Las Vegas luggage tag
The Binion’s seems to rock it, if it comes to free stuff. Look for coupons at the desks or ask a staff member for them. You also get them at the free spin right outside of the casino at the Fremont Street Experience.
The Auto Collections is located on top of the Linq’s parking garage. There is a lot of free self parking available right behind the Linq or take the Monorail to the Linq. If you enter through the casino follow the sings for parking. Once you get to the parking elevator, there is a the Auto Collections already marked.
Remember: To get free entrance you need to print out the coupon on their website. The admission is pretty high for this auto collection, if you don’t have a coupon. But hey, it’s Vegas! If you forgot to print one out, you can try to ask at the concierge counter inside the Linq’s casino. They have some at the desk, but I don’t know if they give it away to non-guests. You always can try.
5. Get a free set of authentic used gambling cards
Well this is actually not totally free. Get the coupon at one of the hotels at the Fremont Street Experience and go to the Gambler’s General Store. There you have to spend at least 5 USD to get this card deck. If you look for some cool souvenirs or just some stuff for yourself, this should be an easy one. You also get 15% off with the coupon of any purchase of 25 USD and more.
6. Get a free Harley Davidson Shirt
Look for a coupon to get this free shirt at the Harley Davidson store on the Las Vegas Blvd next to the Las Vegas Welcome Sign. I found mine in the Monorail Magazine. Offer is valid until June 30th, 2015 and I got told in the store, that the shirts are all men shirts in the size XL. It seems like the ran out of the original shirts shown on the coupons, that’s why the give now this once away as you can see on the picture above.
7. Visit Shelby American Inc and the Carroll Shelby Museum
The new factory of Shelby American is not far from the strip. It gives you a great insight in the history of the founder of Shelby – Carroll Shelby – and in to the current available cars. You can tour the factory for free from Monday to Friday at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm as well as on Saturday at 10:30 am. No registration required, just be there in time. Hours for the Heritage Center and retail are currently: Monday through Saturday 9 am – 6 pm. There is also a gift shop and sales people if you want to buy one. I love the new Shelby Cobras, they look just amazing. You really should visit this location if you are into cars and in Las Vegas.
