Exciting news for all the adventurers out there as well as fans of Hyatt. Today Hyatt and Lindblad Expeditions announced a new partnership which started today, September 26, 2019. This unique partnership gives you now even more ways to earn and redeem World of Hyatt points.

You probably never heard of Lindblad Expeditions before. No worries, me neither until I read the announcement today. Lindblad Expeditions is a highly curated, luxury adventure company that travels to the hard to reach corners of the world that traditional cruise ships cannot often get to. That’s how they describe themselves. That means you are not getting on a huge cruise ship with thousands of people. Your voyage will be on much smaller ships which hold usually about 150 passengers. Depending on your expedition destination, the ships are tailored to go exactly there. For example, you can’t just take a huge cruise ship to Antarctica. Everything is tailored towards an unforgettable and once in a lifetime experience.

This all sounds awesome but it also carries a hefty price tag. For me, one of my dream destinations is Antarctica. The shortest Expedition to Antarctica is 14 days and costs between $14,000 USD – $36,000 USD. Alternatively, you can use your World of Hyatt points, which would reach from just over 900,000 points to almost 2,300,000 World of Hyatt points.

But on the contrary, this will be an experience you won’t forget. It’s up to you, to spend your money or points on something like this. But all expeditions are for adventurers and active people. You won’t find an all-inclusive just sit at the pool expedition.

What expeditions are eligible for the Hyatt bonus?

Basically every expedition you can book through the dedicated booking site at hyatt.expeditions.com. You have to book through an eligible booking channel, which is as well hyatt.expeditions.com, a Hyatt Global Contact Center, or the Lindblad Expeditions’ contact center. Expeditions that are only available through Lindblad Expeditions and are not available via the dedicated booking site (hyatt.expeditions.com) are not eligible expeditions. Every member must associate their World of Hyatt account number with their reservation at the time of booking in order for the Lindblad expedition to be eligible.
