Booking & Stay Details
I booked the TownePlace Suites St. Louis O’Fallon through my Marriott Bonvoy app on my smartphone while staying at the Hyatt Regency St Louis. This was one of the closest hotels to my project side and saves me the longer commute from St. Louis.
Another reason to book the TownePlace Suites was a Chase offer I had in my account for TownePlace Suite properties.
Location
The TownePlace Suites St. Louis O’Fallon is located about 20 mintues from St Louis. Be aware that St Louis is one of only a few towns which has two suburbs with the same name. There is an O’Fallon in Illinois and one in Missouri, at the other side of St Louis. Both of the towns are about a 50-minute drive apart.

There are plenty of dining options nearby. Most of them are, however, on the other side of the freeway.
Parking
The hotel offers complimentary parking for all hotel guests. There are plenty of parking spaces available all around the world.
Shuttle Service
This hotel doesn’t offer a shuttle service.
Studio 1 King, Sofa bed (Room 416)
This is a hearing accessible suite. There is a button on the outside of the room for visual paging inside the room. This button can be deactivated with a switch inside the room, next to the door. Nearby is also the main power switch for the studio suite. This switch needs to be turned on to have power in the suite.
As you walk into the room, you have the kitchen area to your right. It comes with a full-sized refrigerator, dish washer, sink, toaster, microwave oven and a fully stocked kitchen with silverware and chinaware. If you need more kitchen appliances, ask at the front desk as you can borrow other appliances free of charge for your stay. In the kitchen area there is also a large wall closet.
Directly attached to the kitchen counter is a work desk counter. Underneath the counter is a work desk with wheels which can be pulled out and it comes with an office chair. Unfortunately, there is not a lot of room in the room to set up the desk without having to sneak by it when going to bed.
Next to the work desk is a sofa bed with a foot rest. Opposite the sofa bed is the King Bed. It comes with nightstands on either side of the bed. Each side also comes with lights mounted to the headboard and there are power outlets at each light. The nightstands have drawers for extra storage space. A TV is mounted on the wall next to the bed. The TV can be folded out to watch from the bed. However, the TV programming was inaccurate. The channels it showed on the TV didn’t match the channel actually on the TV.
Next to the bed is the entrance to the bathroom. The bathroom comes with a small vanity with a single washbasin and wall-mounted mirror. Next to it is the toilet followed by a walk-in shower. The shower has no door and water can spill on the floor of the bathroom if you are not careful. There are wall-mounted dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower.

The window in the room overlooks the parking lot. There is nothing special to see.
Public Areas & Amenities
Lobby
The lobby space is mainly comprised of the seating area for breakfast and the business center. Not much else here in the lobby besides the information board about the area which you can find in every TownePlace Suites property.
Outside is a patio area with a fireplace and seating options around it. There is also a BBQ grill on the patio which is complimentary to use for hotel guests.
Business Center
The business center is located in the lobby and comes with a workstation and a printer.
Fitness Center
The fitness center is located on the opposite side of the building from the main entrance. It has a good selection of workout equipment.
Pool
There is an indoor pool at this property. The hotel’s pool area is very spacious and has lots of windows for a brighter experience throughout the day. There are a few chairs and pool loungers in the pool area.
Guest Laundry
The hotel has a coin-operated laundry facility on the ground floor. It comes with three sets of washers and dryers and has a table to fold your clothes. Laundry detergent can be purchased from the front desk.

Dry Cleaning was also a bit of a mess. The first time I tried to use it, they called me to say that they will not be able to get it back to me the same day and if that’s okay. The second time I tried to use them, they told me that the dry-cleaning company is not available on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and that they can’t get it sent out until the next week. However, they were nice enough to offer to wash it locally at the hotel’s facility for me. Which was great, as I was out of town for Thanksgiving weekend.
Housekeeping
Housekeeping is available on request only. You have to request it the day prior or for longer stays can request fixed days for housekeeping. Even though I had the do not disturb sign on the door, housekeeping still came in the room and did some minor cleaning but never brought the trash out, which would actually be the most important thing to do.
Dining
Breakfast
The breakfast at the hotel is rather subpar. It comes with lots of items which just get pre-heated which I am not a big fan of. Otherwise, the selection was rather thin too. However, the staff was quick to replenish all the breakfast items.
Hours
Mon-Fri 6.30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
Sat & Sun 7 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
Market
There is a small marketplace next to the front desk which offers some basic items which should get you by for the day/night.
Conclusion
My stay at the TownePlace Suites St. Louis O’Fallon was good, nothing special though. The room was rather small for my expectations but manageable. The staff was great and I liked how they proactively tried to resolve my dry-cleaning issue. However, the hotel should have their contracts with the service provider up to date and staff should know what’s going on.
Breakfast wasn’t the best. On the other side you have a fully stocked kitchen to prepare your own meals, you just need to go grocery shopping. Other than that, a good stay here.
