American Express announced a couple of days ago that it will take its premium lounge program called “Centurion Lounge” international. American Express will bring their best-in-class Centurion Lounge to the Hong Kong International Airport in 2017.

Hong Kong

The more than 8,000 square foot lounge will be located in HKG’s Terminal 1 offering Platinum Card or Centurion Card members an escape from the busy airport life.

Philadelphia

Not only Hong Kong get’s a Centurion Lounge. There will be another US-based lounge and the Philadelphia International Airport will be the home of this new lounge.

Located in Terminal A West, with a footprint of 6.300 square feet, the Centurion Lounge will have floor to ceiling windows and all the other great features of a centurion lounge like a bar, great food from local chefs, free WiFi, Shower Suites, …

Seattle

As mentioned in an earlier post, the Seattle lounge will gain some space and will be extended by 1400 square feet. This brings the size of the Seattle lounge to 4500 square feet. The expansion will add a shower suite and a full-size bar beside more seating options and great views of Mount Rainier.

These are really exciting news and I like to hear that the Centurion Lounge network grows. The Centurion Lounges are so far my favorite lounges in the US. Airline lounges in the US are usually not that great and offer that much.

There are currently Centurion Lounges in the following airports. I have visited the majority of them already and hope to visit all of them by the end of this year.
