KLM shows us, how it should be done. Customers can now pay via KLM’s social media channels on Facebook and Twitter.
You can book or re-book your flight, make seat reservations or baggage changes – all through social media. But how does it work? KLM has developed an easy but effective system.
You will get a link and direct message on either of the social channels, which brings you to a website where you can pay with your preferred payment method. The social media agent will receive a message that the transaction is complete and will send you in return a confirmation message. Flight arrangements have already been done via social media but until now you had to pay via phone. This new way makes it easier for everybody. KLM puts a lot of effort in the social media, with 130 agents serving about 35,000 queries a week.
